Frequently asked questions

What is Louro?

Louro is the all-in-one home for car ownership. It keeps your vehicle's whole story — service records, scans, documents, recalls, trips, and costs — and hands that context to Opie, so the advice you get is about your car, not cars in general.

Why do I need an account?

Everything useful in Louro is built on top of your vehicle's history: what Opie already knows about your car is what makes its answers worth reading. An account is what gives that history somewhere to live. Creating one is free and takes about a minute.

Is there a free trial?

Garage+ comes with a 14-day free trial. It asks for a card up front and converts to a paid plan when the trial ends, so cancel any time before then and you are not charged. It is one per customer. The Free plan stays free for as long as you want, and Business is billed monthly with no trial — get in touch and we will walk you through it.

Who is Opie?

Opie is the AI advisor built into Louro. It reads fault codes, listens to sounds, looks at damage photos, watches for recalls, and explains all of it in plain English. On paid plans it runs on premium models and remembers every car you own.

Do I need special hardware?

No. Louro is useful the moment you add a car. A standard OBD-II adapter unlocks live gauges and scan history, but code lookups, reminders, recalls, records, and Opie all work without one.

Is there an iPhone app?

Yes — Louro is on the App Store, and it's the best way to use it day to day. Your Garage stays in sync with the web app, so you can start on either one.

Own your car, effortlessly.

Louro keeps the record, catches the lights, and decodes the sounds — so you never have to wonder again.
